Ceramic Garden

This sculpture holds special meaning for me.  It was the first large piece constructed in modular sections.  It was also the piece that I started before my Dad passed away and completed after his passing.  It was a particularly difficult semester for me at Towson...I did complete the piece, but ended up with an incomplete grade for the semester.  During the firing this piece warped and did not fit together well.  It is positioned now at the top of my driveway as a guardian or sentinel figure.

The outdoor sculpture garden next to the house was recently professionally landscaped by Fred Mansfield (PMF Contractors).  He did an absolutely fantastic job!

These sculptures are all older pieces that I feel enhance the beauty of the landscaping. The two arches: "Passage" and "Threshold" were the first two pieces created during my MFA program at Towson University.  The red floor piece is called "Circle of Life", and is a more recent piece.

The vision I have for my sculptures is for them to be displayed outside in relationship to nature.
